Emily Jeon, NP chose a career in medicine, especially cardiology, because both of her grandparents passed away from heart disease. “They struggled with diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, ” she recalls. “Seeing how these conditions affected them made me want to help others prevent and manage cardiovascular disease. I'm drawn to cardiology because it allows me to make a real difference through both prevention and treatment.”
